Three of the twenty-four to start with. Or ask a question above and the right one is laid for it instead.
Take one.
The reading.
A dream: what it shows, what it asks, what to carry.
You woke with it still in the room. Three cards read a dream the way a reader hears one: what it shows, in pictures; what it is asking you, which is usually plainer than the pictures; and the one thing to carry out of it into the day. Not a dictionary of symbols. A reading of yours.
- 1What the dream shows
- 2What it is asking
- 3What to carry from it
The positions, and how to read a card in each
- 1What the dream shows
- The image the dream left, matched to a picture. Do not decode the dream; look at whether the card and the dream share a mood, because the mood is what the dream was made of.
- 2What it is asking
- Dreams ask more often than they tell. This card is the question the dream was turning over while you slept, and it is usually one you have been avoiding awake.
- 3What to carry from it
- One thing to take into the day. Not an interpretation of the whole dream; a single card's worth, which is all a dream can reliably give you.
Already laid this one on your own table? Read the cards you pulled, in these positions, with the same engine.
The cards are Pamela Colman Smith's, drawn in 1909. The draw is sealed before you touch the deck, so it can be recomputed by anyone, and nobody including the engine sees a card before you do. Readings here never give dates except the sky's, and never give medical, legal or financial specifics.
