The reading.
The year ahead: twelve cards, one for each month.
Twelve cards laid as the year itself, starting from this month and going round. It is a spread you keep and come back to rather than read once. Nothing here is fated and no card gives a date, except where the sky genuinely has one.

How to read it
- Twelve cards, one a month
- Laid as the year itself, starting from the month you are in. Each card is the character of its month, not a prediction of it: the month a hard card lands in is a month to expect friction, not a date to fear.
- The first month
- The month you are standing in, read against the sky tonight. The one card of the twelve that can be checked.
- The turns
- Read the year as a shape before reading the months: where the cards change suit, where a major lands, where the same picture comes twice. Those are the turns of the year, and they matter more than any single month.
Already laid this one on your own table? Read the cards you pulled, in these positions, with the same engine.
The cards are Pamela Colman Smith's, drawn in 1909. The draw is sealed before you touch the deck, so it can be recomputed by anyone, and nobody including the engine sees a card before you do. Readings here never give dates except the sky's, and never give medical, legal or financial specifics.
