Reversals on

Take one.

In order, with a moment on each.

How they feel about you: three cards from their side, and what a card cannot know.

A card on your table cannot read another person's mind, and this reading says so before it says anything else. What three cards can show is the shape of them from where you stand: how you look from their side, what they want from this, and what holds them back. The third is the card people skip, and the one to read first.

  1. 1How they see you
  2. 2What they want from this
  3. 3What holds them back

The positions, and how to read a card in each

1How they see you
Not how they feel, which no card can read: how you look from where they stand. A card here is the version of you they are dealing with, which is rarely the version you are trying to show them. Read it as information about the gap, not as a verdict on you.
2What they want from this
What the situation is for, on their side, as far as your table can show it. It is often smaller or plainer than the thing you were afraid of, and sometimes it is not about you at all. That is worth knowing before the third card.
3What holds them back
The card people skip and the one to read first. Something stands between what they want and what they do, and it is usually theirs, not yours. A reading here will not say what they will do next; it will show you the weight they are carrying into it.

Already laid this one on your own table? Read the cards you pulled, in these positions, with the same engine.

The cards are Pamela Colman Smith's, drawn in 1909. The draw is sealed before you touch the deck, so it can be recomputed by anyone, and nobody including the engine sees a card before you do. Readings here never give dates except the sky's, and never give medical, legal or financial specifics.

Twenty-four spreads.

The classics, and a few built for one kind of question. Tap one to lay it.
Card of the day

One card, twenty seconds. The habit.

1 card
Yes or no

One card, cut first so it can fall either way. Upright leans yes.

1 card
Past, present, future

The classic three, in a line. Where it came from, where it is, where it goes.

3 cards
The two of you

You, them, and what is between you.

3 cards
Should I buy it

Never about the thing. Always about the hesitation.

3 cards
This or that

Two roads, and the thing you are not weighing.

3 cards
Is now the time

Two cards, and the sky answers the third position itself.

2 cards
What am I missing

One card you can see. One tucked behind it.

2 cards
Pick one of three

Three options in a row, and the card that decides.

4 cards
Mind, body, spirit

Three cards for the state you are in, not the thing you are deciding.

3 cards
The horseshoe

Seven cards in an arc. A whole situation without the weight of the ten.

7 cards
The job

Take it, leave it, or stay where you are. Three cards about the work, not the offer.

3 cards
The one who left

What was there, where they stand now, and what you would be going back to.

3 cards
How they feel about you

How they see you, what they want from this, and what holds them back. A card cannot read a mind, and this one says so.

3 cards
Stay or go

The life if you stay, the life if you go, and the fear under both.

3 cards
What to do about it

The oldest three: what is happening, what to do, and where that goes.

3 cards
Shadow work

What you show, what you keep back, why, what that costs, and how to meet it.

5 cards
A dream

What the dream shows, what it is asking, and what to carry out of it.

3 cards
The week ahead

Seven cards, one for each day, starting today.

7 cards
The year ahead

Twelve cards, one for each month, laid as the year itself.

12 cards
Celtic Cross

The classic ten, the cross and the staff. For a question with a lot in it.

10 cards
The houses

Twelve cards on the twelve houses, the whole of a life laid as a wheel. For when the question is everything at once.

12 cards
Tree of Life

Ten cards on the ten sephiroth, from the aim at the top to how it lands. Book T's own map, laid as a spread.

10 cards
This moon

Waxing tonight. What to begin, what is in the way, and the Moon itself.
