Take one.
The reading.
The horseshoe: seven cards in an arc, and a whole situation.
The past, the present, what is hidden, the obstacle, the people around it, what to do, and where it lands. Seven is enough for the shape of a whole situation without the ten's weight. Lay it when the Celtic Cross is more than the question deserves.

The positions, and how to read a card in each
- 1The past
- What led here, and specifically the part of it still in play. A card here that feels finished is telling you the past is not the problem.
- 2The present
- Where it stands now. This is the card the rest of the arc is read against, so read it before the five to its right.
- 3What is hidden
- The thing in the situation nobody has said out loud, including you. It is often the card that makes the arc make sense, and it is rarely as dramatic as a hidden thing sounds.
- 4The obstacle
- What stands in the way, which is not always what you have been fighting. A card here that looks like you is worth sitting with.
- 5The people around it
- The others in the situation and what they are actually doing, as far as your table can show. Not their intentions, which no card can read; their weight.
- 6What to do
- The move. Read it as an action even when the card is a quiet one: a quiet card here says wait, and says it on purpose.
- 7Where it lands
- Where the situation goes if the move is made. Not a promise; the direction the arc is already bending, which the sixth card can still change.
Already laid this one on your own table? Read the cards you pulled, in these positions, with the same engine.
The cards are Pamela Colman Smith's, drawn in 1909. The draw is sealed before you touch the deck, so it can be recomputed by anyone, and nobody including the engine sees a card before you do. Readings here never give dates except the sky's, and never give medical, legal or financial specifics.
