Take one.
The reading.
Should I buy it: three cards about the hesitation, not the thing.
What you think you are buying, what you are actually buying, and how you will feel about it in a month. Nobody asks a deck about a purchase they are comfortable with. The spread is built for the gap between those two, and it gives no financial advice, ever.

The positions, and how to read a card in each
- 1What you think you are buying
- The story you have told yourself about the thing: the version of you that owns it. A card here is that story, laid out where you can look at it. It is usually a nicer card than the second one.
- 2What you are actually buying
- The thing as it will be in your hands: the object, the obligation, the room it takes. Read the gap between this card and the first; the gap is the hesitation you came with.
- 3How you will feel in a month
- Not whether it works, whether it lasts. A card here is the feeling after the box is gone. A quiet card is a good sign for a purchase and a dull one for a change of life; decide which of those you are making.
Already laid this one on your own table? Read the cards you pulled, in these positions, with the same engine.
The cards are Pamela Colman Smith's, drawn in 1909. The draw is sealed before you touch the deck, so it can be recomputed by anyone, and nobody including the engine sees a card before you do. Readings here never give dates except the sky's, and never give medical, legal or financial specifics.
